I have tried numerous brands of gluten free pasta, and most of them I find unbearable. They are too mushy and do not taste at all like the wheat-based pasta of my past. However, there is one brand of pasta that I enjoy eating especially with Rao's pasta sauce and that is Tinkyada rice pasta.
Tinkyada rice pasta is gluten free, casein free, corn free, dairy free, egg free, meat free, nut free, and soy free. It is also free of cholesterol, Kosher certified, and easy-to-digest! And some varieties are certified organic by the OCIA.
This pasta comes in a variety of shapes including brown rice spaghetti, spirals, penne, shells, grand shells, fusilli, elbows, little dreams, lasagne, spinach spaghetti, vegetable spirals. The organic varieties include spaghetti, spirals, penne, elbows, and lasagne.
Tinkyada pasta is available at many health foods stores and is also available at Ms. Celiac's Market.
