Quick and Easy Baking Mixes!

Pamela's Products has come out with two perfect quick & easy gluten free mixes for the "back to school" season.  Based on their two most popular mixes, they have created single-serve packs of their Gluten Free Baking & Pancake Mix and a Gluten Free Microwavable Brownie Mix!

This is the ideal item for the busy family, the college student, or any of us on-the-go!  Even better is that Pamela's Products uses all natural ingredients!

A single-serve pack of pancakes produces 4 pancakes after simply adding water, oil and an egg and cooking on an oiled griddle or pan.  If you want an egg-free version, try using flax seeds instead.

A single-serve pack of the brownie mix creates 1 brownie after adding water and oil and microwaving for approximately 1 minute in a cup or bowl.

Pamela's Products Baking & Pancake Mix and Microwavable Brownie Mix will be available by early September at natural food retailers, as well as, on Amazon.  They will be retailing for about $1.99 each.

And as always with Pamela's Products, these new items are delicious!

A Taste of France in NYC!

One of my favorite gluten free treats are french macarons.  In past years, I have been able to enjoy them in NYC at places such as Payard and Fauchon.  However, since both of these places closed and I have not been to Paris recently to enjoy the delicacies at Ladurée, it has been a long time since I've had a macaron.

Well, here is the good news....the Macaron Cafe has opened in 2 locations in NYC and for those of you not in NYC, they have a website where you can order their macarons.  In fact, the Macaron Cafe reminds me more of Ladurée than Payard or Fauchon with its long list of flavors - more than 50!

The Macaron Cafe confirms that their macarons are both gluten free and kosher certified.  They also state that they can be kept frozen for up to 6 months and kept refrigerated for up to 7 days.

Here is a selection of some of their macaron flavors:
  • Apricot
  • Cappuccino
  • Caramel "Fleur de Sel"
  • Chestnut
  • Coconut
  • Creme Brulee
  • Dark Chocolate
  • Dulce de Leche
  • Espresso
  • Grapefruit
  • Honey Lavender
  • Jasmin
  • Lemon
  • Lychee Rose
  • Mango
  • Matcha Green Tea
  • Mocha
  • Nutella
  • Orange Blossom
  • Passion Fruit
  • Peanut Butter
  • Pineapple
  • Pistachio
  • Praline
  • Raisin Rum
  • Raspberry
  • Rhubarb
  • Rose
  • Strawberry
  • Vanilla
  • Wedding Almond
For more information and to purchase their macarons, please visit them at macaroncafe.com

Or check them out in NYC at:
