Quick Bites!

If you're on vacation in Los Angeles and only have a little time between sightseeing adventures and want to grab a bite to eat, there are many gluten free options.

Although, I have spoken about the following chains in previous posts I thought it would be appropriate to mention them again here as they all originated in California.

In-N-Out Burger was founded in 1948 by Harry Snyder and his wife Esther and is headquartered in Irvine, California. They have locations throughout the Western United States with many of them in the Los Angeles area. Their delicious fresh made french fries are gluten free and if you are feeling in the mood for a burger you can order it "protein style" - meaning it will be wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun.

A great place for a cold drink on a hot day is Jamba Juice. Jamba Juice was founded in 1990 and has many locations in the Los Angeles area. All of their smoothies with the exception of Pomegranate Heart Happy are gluten free. All of their boosts and super boosts with the exception of Daily Vitamin, Energy, and Heart Happy are gluten free too!

Pinkberry is another great place to try especially on a warm day. It is an upscale frozen dessert restaurant headquartered in Los Angeles, California. The first store was opened in January 2005 by Korean Americans, Shelly Hwang and Young Lee. It is often referred to as "crackberry" for its cult-like following. All of their yogurt is gluten free!

The current flavor selection includes:

*Original
*Green Tea
*Pomegranate

*Coffee

*Coconut
*Passion Fruit
*Tropical Swirl

Fruit toppings include: strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, bananas, kiwi, mango, and pineapple. Seasonal fruit toppings include pomegranate seeds, lychee, valencia oranges, and bing cherries.
