The one place I dine at every single time I visit Los Angeles is the restaurant Locanda Veneta. It is one of my all time favorite restaurants! Its aim is to transport you to the cuisine of Venice, Italy.
Although Locanda Veneta does not have an exclusive gluten free menu, they are very familiar with gluten intolerance and can prepare excellent gluten free meals. Some of my favorites include:
Insalata San Remo -
mixed baby greens, avocado, roma tomoatoes, hearts of palms, sliced zucchini, pine nuts in a light balsamic dressing
Insalata di Carciofi -
fresh arugula salad and raw artichokes tossed with lemon dressing and topped with shaved parmesan cheese
Risotto con Funghi di stagione -
arborio rice simmered and slowly cooked with mixed wild mushrooms and fresh herbs, finished with parmesan cheese
Gamberi all Gondola Veneziana -
grilled Hawaii Blue King prawns with garlic and fresh herbs served in a bed of sauteed spinach and grilled zucchini
Filetto di sogliola alla "mugnaia" con capperi -
fresh east coast fillet of sole, sauteed with white wine, lemon, and fresh caper berry
