Tomorrow is Macaron Day in NYC!

I have always loved macarons and I loved them even more after discovering that they are gluten free!  The traditional French macaron is made out of ground almonds, sugar, and egg whites.  If you are in the NYC area, tomorrow is the 2nd Annual Macaron Day!  This means you can go to any participating macaron shop and pick-up a free macaron!

The list of participating vendors includes:

  • Almondine Bakery
  • Bisousciao. MACARONS
  • Bouchon Bakery
  • Butterfield Market
  • Cannelle Patisserie
  • COURS La REINE
  • DESSERTS BY MICHAEL ALLEN
  • DessertTruck Works
  • FC Chocolate Bar at The Plaza Hotel
  • Francois Payard Bakery
  • GEORGIA'S CAFE & BAKERY
  • Jacques Torres Chocolate
  • La Maison du Chocolat
  • La Renaissance Bakery
  • Mad-Mac "The Authentic French Macarons"
  • Macaron Cafe
If you decide to purchase additional macarons, many of the participating locations will be donating a portion of the day's macaron sales to City Harvest.
