A great restaurant in New York City that I have now been to twice is amazing at accommodating those on a gluten free diet! The restaurant is called, Telepan, and they serve an extensive menu and are able to make many items gluten free.
The restaurant is located on the upper west side at 72 West 69th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West. They are open for brunch on the weekends, lunch (Wednesday - Friday), and Dinner (every night).
The first time I went was for dinner and I enjoyed the following dishes which were all able to be altered around a bit to make them gluten free and they were delicious!
*Summer Salad
-Greens, Vegetables, & Lemon Vinaigrette
*Eggplant
-Fried Eggplant, Eggplant Stew, & Roasted Tomato Oil
*Wild Striped Bass
-Wax Beans, Crushed New Potatoes, & Lobster Mariniere
*Homemade Ice Creams
-Chamomile, Chocolate, and Butter Pecan
The second time I went for my birthday brunch and enjoyed the following items gluten free:
*Vegetable Soup
-Tuscan Virgin Olive Oil & Parmigiano
*Haddock
-Wild Spinach, Mushrooms, and Mushroom Glaze
*Homemade Ice Creams
-Maple Walnut, Vanilla, and Lemon
*Belini Dei Melba
-Peach Puree, Peach Bitters, & Prosecco
